Some people have experienced new or stronger symptoms of tinnitus after Covid or the Covid vaccine, and for many people this is worrisome or uncomfortable, some even describe it as unbearable. In this episode of Therapy in a Nutshell I talk with Joey Reymenyi, a vestibular audiologist and neuroplasticity specialist about tinnitus treatment options, how you can recover from tinnitus after Covid or after the vaccine and how to work with your body and mind to heal and feel like yourself again.
The Covid Vaccine is Statistically much safer than getting Covid-19, I got both doses and had no side effects. I encourage everyone who can to consider getting the vaccine as soon as possible.
Tinnitus is treatable and you can recover. Check out the free resources on Joey's website: https://www.seekingbalance.com.au/
Joey is not paying me in any way to sponsor this video or promote her. We share common approaches that include Acceptance and Commitment therapy, a neuroplasticity and mental wellness approach and a belief in the innate ability to heal.

In therapy I use a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Systems Theory, Positive Psychology, and a Bio-Psycho-Social approach to treating mental illness and other challenges we all face in life. The ideas from my videos are frequently adapted from multiple sources, many of them come from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, especially the work of Steven Hayes, Jason Luoma, and Russ Harris. The sections on stress and the mind body connection derive from the work of Stephen Porges (the Polyvagal theory), Peter Levine (Somatic Experiencing) Francine Shapiro (EMDR) and Bessel Van Der Kolk. I also rely heavily on the work of the Arbinger institute for my overall understanding of our ability to choose our life direction.
And deeper than all of that, the Gospel of Jesus Christ orients my personal worldview, sense of security, peace, hope and love. https://www.churchofjesuschris....t.org/comeuntochrist
