Mr Chohan had a successful business worth £5m. Kenneth Regan was known as Captain Cash from his drug dealing days, and along with his two henchmen, they hatched a plot to take over the Chohan’s business and use it to front their drug smuggling ring. Mr Chohan, his young wife, her mother, and the couple’s their two baby sons were lured into a trap and brutally murdered, covered up as an innocent but tragic sudden disappearance. The plot was only foiled by a family murder in New Zealand, refusing to believe that they would all vanish, as a result of tax avoidance or a business agreement gone sour. The bodies of the three adults washed up along the coasts of the UK, but the two babies were never found. This documentary, made for Channel 4 strand ‘Dispatches’ explores the heinous crimes and the investigation.

Medical Story: Aspergers And Me (Chris Packham Documentary) | Real Stories
Medical Story: Aspergers And Me (Chris Packham Documentary) | Real Stories bsocially 7 Visualizzazioni • 5 anni fa

For most of his life, broadcaster and naturalist Chris Packham didn't tell anyone about the one thing that in many ways has defined his entire existence. Chris is autistic - he has Asperger's Syndrome, which means he struggles in social situations, has difficulty with human relationships and is, by his own admission, 'a little bit weird'. But what if there was a way of taking away these autistic traits? Would Chris ever choose to be 'normal'?

In this film, Chris invites us inside his autistic world to try to show what it is really like being him. He lives alone in the woods with his 'best friend' Scratchy the dog, but he also has a long-term partner, Charlotte, who discusses the problems Asperger's creates in their relationship - she describes Chris as being sometimes 'like an alien'. Chris experiences the world in a very different way, with heightened senses that at times are overwhelming, and a mind that is constant bouncing from one subject to the next.

Growing up at a time when little was known about autism, Chris wasn't diagnosed with Asperger's until he was in his forties. With scientific advances offering new possibilities to treat his condition, Chris travels to America to witness radical therapies that appear to offer the possibility of entirely eradicating problematic autistic traits, but he also meets those who are challenging the idea that autistic people need to change in order to fit into society. Confronting this deeply personal subject with brutal honesty, and reflecting on the devastating struggles of his adolescence, Chris explores the question of whether he would ever want to be cured himself or whether, ultimately, Asperger's has helped make him who he is today.

Diana The Inquest (Princess Diana Documentary) | Real Stories
Diana The Inquest (Princess Diana Documentary) | Real Stories bsocially 7 Visualizzazioni • 5 anni fa

Diana: The Inquest takes a remarkable look at the mysterious beginnings and proceedings of the British inquest into the deaths of Princess Diana, Dodi Al Fayed and their driver Henri Paul. Featuring statements from those most closely connected to the three people who died on that tragic night, and exclusive CCTV footage from cameras inside the Ritz Hotel where they spent some of their last hours, the film highlights the important questions that the inquest aimed to answer.

Were Dodi and Diana engaged? Was Diana pregnant? Was the white Fiat Uno also in the tunnel that night connected to the accident? And the most important question of all… Was Diana’s death planned and was the driver of the car somehow involved?

Director and Producer David Cohen said: "It really is both moving and eerie to see these jerky images of how three people – Diana, Dodi and Henri Paul – spent their last hours. The Coroner is clearly determined to make sure that after so many allegations of conspiracy, no one can say he did not allow the jury to look at all the facts".

Diana: The Inquest provides the most comprehensive account there has ever been on television of how Diana spent her last day, and charts one of the most fascinating journeys in judicial history.

Annie: Out of the Ashes (Extraordinary Person Documentary) | Real Stories
Annie: Out of the Ashes (Extraordinary Person Documentary) | Real Stories bsocially 7 Visualizzazioni • 5 anni fa

Documentary in which a woman, who was adopted out of a Gypsy family after her mother supposedly left her in a burning caravan when she was a baby, tries to uncover the truth about her past.

Annie has grown up believing that her severe facial scarring is the result of her Irish Traveller mother trying to kill her by setting fire to the caravan in which Annie was sleeping. Could she have been driven by a fear of being ostracised by the community, having had an affair and given birth to a mixed-race baby?

Annie was adopted, and 30 years later, she wants to investigate her past. Armed with just a few names and dates from the original social services documents concerning her adoption, Annie is determined to find people who know the truth of what happened that night in 1986.

Annie was adopted by a white family. Her adoptive mother taught her there was nothing she couldn't do. But she felt her identity was a 'blur' - part Afro-Caribbean, part Traveller, part white. Annie has had no contact with the Gypsy community and is desperate to understand what it was within the culture that might have caused her birth mother to take such extreme measures. Was it the colour of Annie's skin? That she was the product of an affair? Or both?

In a meeting with representatives from the Gypsy Council to find out about Gypsy culture, a shocking revelation causes Annie's investigation to change direction. Did her mother really do it? Or was she simply blamed for an accidental caravan fire by her outraged community? Supported by her fiance and her adopted family, Annie won't give up until she tracks down the people who can give her the truth.

What Caused Flight 603 To Receive False Computer Readings? | Flying Blind | Mayday: Air Disaster
What Caused Flight 603 To Receive False Computer Readings? | Flying Blind | Mayday: Air Disaster bsocially 7 Visualizzazioni • 5 anni fa

PART 2 | Do you think the crash was due to similar causes? A massive salvage operation and the investigation get underway. Ten months earlier, NTSB investigator Dick Rodriguez had investigated another 757 accident. The problem had been a blockage in the pitot-static ports which feed vital flight altitude and speed information to the computers.

When the wreckage of Flight 603 was retrieved from the ocean, the piece of fuselage with the static ports revealed the terrible truth. The static ports were covered up with duct tape that had been put on to try and prevent water from getting inside during the cleaning and wasn't removed before the flight resulting in the crew receiving false information.

From Season 1 Episode 4 "Flying Blind": This is the story of what happens when the computers fail and the pilots are left Flying Blind in the dark. All appears normal on Aeroperu Flight 603 as they leave the runway to go to Santiago, Chile but as soon as they take off, the pilots notice a confusing set of alarms and instrument indications. The computer sounds like an Overspeed warning followed by a stall warning. After several mixed readings, the crew become confident and ignore any other warnings. Fooled by previous false information and unable to see in the dark, the crew crash the plane into the ocean.

Mysterious Crash of Flight 201 | Air Crash Investigation | Mayday Copa Airlines Flight.
Mysterious Crash of Flight 201 | Air Crash Investigation | Mayday Copa Airlines Flight. bsocially 7 Visualizzazioni • 5 anni fa

Air Crash Investigation 2021 | Mysterious Crash of Flight 201 (1992) - Copa Airlines Flight 201 was a regularly scheduled passenger flight from Tocumen International Airport in Panama City, Panama to Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport in Cali, Colombia. On 6 June 1992, the Boeing 737-204 Advanced operating the route rolled, entered a steep dive, disintegrated in mid-air, and crashed into the jungle of the Darién Gap 29 minutes after takeoff, killing all 47 people on board. The in-flight break-up was caused by faulty instrument readings and several other contributing factors, including incomplete training.

Flight 201 is the deadliest accident in Panamanian aviation history, and the first and only fatal crash in the history of Copa Airlines.

The aircraft was a 12-year-old twin-engined Boeing 737-200 Advanced, registration HP-1205CMP, piloted by Captain Rafael Carlos Chial (53) and First Officer Cesareo Tejada (25) with 5 Flight Attendants on this flight.[4] Copa 201 was carrying 40 passengers and 7 crew. The jet was manufactured in 1980 and entered service with Britannia Airways bearing tail number G-BGYL. The aircraft was acquired by Copa Airlines as a result of the leasing agreement that both companies had in the 1990s, and the aircraft still bore a hybrid Britannia/Copa livery (still wore Britannia stripes, but with "Copa" titles on the forward fuselage and tail, and the Panamanian flag on the middle part of the fuselage) at the time of the accident.

Flight 201 took off from runway 21L at Tocumen International Airport in Panama City at 20:37 (8:37 p.m.) local time as a scheduled passenger flight to Cali, Colombia, with 40 passengers and seven crew members.[3] Among the passengers were Colombian merchants conducting business in Panama.[3] At 20:47 (8:47 p.m.), about 10 minutes after takeoff, Captain Chial contacted Panama City Air Traffic Control, requesting weather information. The controller reported that there was an area of very bad weather 30–50 miles (50-80 kilometres) from their position.

At 20:48 (8:48 p.m.), Captain Chial made another radio contact requesting permission from Panama City ATC to fly a different route due to the severe weather ahead. The new route would take the plane over Darién Province. 6 minutes later, at 20:54 (8:54 p.m.), Panama City Control Center received a third message from Captain Chial, who reported problems with the airplane and made a request to turn back to Tocumen, which was granted.

However, at 20:56 (8:56 p.m.), 2 minutes later, while flying at an altitude of 25,000 feet (7,620 metres), Flight 201 entered a steep dive at an angle of 80 degrees to the right and began to roll uncontrollably while accelerating towards the ground. Despite the attempts by Captain Chial and First Officer Tejada to level off, the airplane continued its steep dive, until it exceeded the speed of sound and started to break apart at 10,000 feet (3,048 metres). Most of the bodies had their clothes torn off and were thrown away from the aircraft.[3] Flight 201 crashed into a jungle area within the Darien Gap at 486 knots (560 miles per hour, 900 kilometres per hour), killing any remaining person still aboard.[5]

At 20:57 (8:57 p.m.), Tocumen Air Traffic Control tried unsuccessfully to make contact with flight until it received a radio message from a KLM DC-10 aircraft that was approaching the airport, reporting that they intercepted a distress signal from Flight 201's transponder in an area between the Colombian border and Darien Province, several kilometres away from their position. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact the lost plane, Tocumen ATC finally declared a full emergency in the airport and informed the Colombian ATC centre at Bogota about the missing plane. At dawn the next day, search aircraft were sent to Flight 201's last known position.[3][6]

After 8 hours, searchers spotted the first pieces of wreckage in the jungle of the Darien Gap.[7] Because of the remoteness of the area and the difficulty of access, it took rescue personnel 12 hours to reach the site.[3][8]

Because the bodies of the victims and various parts of the aircraft's fuselage were scattered in a radius of 10 km (6.2 miles), the recovery process was extremely difficult. After investigators reached the crash site, the investigation to find the cause of the crash began.
