SUMMARY

In this video, Dave takes a call from Russ, an insurance broker from Salem, MA. Russ calls in to get some clarity on Dave’s principles and specifically discuss some of the life insurance advice that he found on DaveRamsey.com that he doesn’t agree with.

HEATED DEBATE WITH WHOLE LIFE AGENT

Russ’s first point: Insurance brokers do not recommend life insurance as a whole. No two personal situations are the same, with variables changing in everyone’s different lives, so life insurance policies should not be a static entity.

Dave refutes by explaining that it’s not true that no two financial instances are the same because the basic principles of mathematics and personal finance are always consistent. A good example is the use of a credit card—there is no time that using a credit card is a reasonable, responsible choice. The same logic applies to whole life insurance.

Russ’s second point: The cash value of a life insurance policy is not a bad investment. The rate of return gets better as the policy ages, and the premium payments stay the same. Whole life insurance is considered to be a product that’s priced indefinitely.

Twenty-year level term insurance is about 5% of the cost of the same amount of whole life insurance. You don’t need life insurance for your whole life—you should not pay 95% more per month for 60 years! With term life insurance, when you die, your beneficiary gets paid. If you die with whole life insurance, your beneficiary gets paid only the face value even though you’ve paid 20 times that for years!

Summary of this video:

There are a ton of ways to make money re-uploading YouTube videos in 2021 - but today I'm going to show you this sweet strategy that not only allows your to make money on YouTube without YouTube monetization... but also how to make it so you will be able to get monetized WITHOUT any issues at all. And I'm going to show you how to do this with a top 5 channel in the tech niche by taking advantage of "fair use" which I will explain in the video.

First (and this is non-negitioable) you MUST start by PLANNING. The quote "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail." couldn't be more true with YouTube. I personally start out by planning out my title/search term for my video before anything. What's nice is that a tool I use for every video called MorningFame makes this ridiculously simple. You can use my invite link to get a free trial by using the link in the resources above.

Next, you are going to do some research by watching the top videos for the search term you planned out in the last step. This is how you're going to write your script (which is the next step). You're basically going to model off of each of these videos but make your own unique video by taking bits and pieces from each of their videos and making it your own.

After that, comes the script. This is super important for for a few reasons. 1, it helps us stay on topic and keep people interested. 2, we can sound like we know what we're talking about when talking about a product we know nothing about by basically re-wording their Amazon product page. And 3, if you out-source the voiceover (next step) a script is required. So yeah, super important. I created a script template that you can check out in the resources above.

Now, we're onto the voiceover. There are 2 options here. 1, do it yourself - or 2, pay someone to do it for you. I usually don't suggest outsourcing things because it can get a bit pricey, but I found easily the best value voiceover on Fiverr here: https://go.thomasgaretz.com/best-voiceover - but it's still much more expensive then doing it yourself in the long-term, even after buying a microphone linked above (but it's totally up to you - do what's comfortable). Just remember, you NEED a voiceover to make using other people's clips in your video fall under fair use.

After you've got all that taken care of, it's time to get your clips. You can find clips from all over the place - other top 5/top10 videos on YouTube, unboxing & review videos on Google & YouTube for the products you're talking about, pexels.com for royalty-free videos & images, etc.
