Reeeeaaal excited about the new macbooks as I believe the M1X should pack some serious power and more than enough for my needs (which can actually be pretty needy, 100-200 tracks of heavy VST instruments and audio plugins.) But yeah, I work full time for a marketing agency (7.5 years) and also do freelance after hours. I hate the agency so going to probably branch out and go freelance once I can get my hands on the new SoC and really finish my studio.

#icaveanswers at one point you mentioned dipping a toe into the HomeKit area, so I have a question. I thought “thread” was the new protocol to let all kinds of things talk to each other and the HomePod mini had thread built in too. But now I’m hearing of a different protocol (the name escapes me at the moment) that includes Apple, Google, etc… what’s the future on HomeKit communication? Thanks!
